Steady Install: Tools For Each Level
General Information For Tools:
Steady Install ranks it’s workers into 4 levels based on their experience level and tools they can bring for a project. Level 1s and Level 2s are required to bring what we call ‘FULL TOOLS,’ Level 3s are required to bring what we call ‘BASIC TOOLS,’ and Level 4s are not required to bring any tools, which why Level 4s are typically used for manual labor jobs. The below lists will detail every tool required at each level.
FULL TOOLS
The Full Tools list is mandatory for both the Level 1 (Expert) and Level 2 (Senior) workers:
- Adjustable Pliers
- Allen Plusters (standard and metric)
- Bit magnetizer
- Box knife with extra blades
- Commercial Grade Drill - 12 volt or higher (Ryobi, Makita, Rigid,
- Milwaukee, Hitachi, Bosch, DeWalt, Hilti)
- Commercial Grade Level, 12"
- Drill Batteries and Charger (2)
- Drill Bit Set, up to 1/2inch
- Electrical Tester
- Hack saw and blades
- Magnetic bit holder, 6 inch
- Magnetic bit holders, 2 inch (at least 2)
- Philips # 2 tips for magnetic bit holder (at least 6)
- Philips #2, 2 inch (at least 2)
- Philips #2, 6 inch (at least 2)
- Philips #3, 2 inch (at least 2)
- Point socket, 3/8" 12
- Pry Bar
- Ratchet Wrench 3/8"
- Robertson (square) #1,#2, and #3 tips (min 2 of each)
- Rubber mallet/hammer (not black)
- Set of Allen bits for ratchet up to 3/8"
- Set of standard deep sockets up to ¾"
- Set of Torx bits (T10-T45)
- Snips
- Spackle knife (metal end)
- Spade bit, ½ inch
- Tape measure, 25’ or more
- Tool box/bag big enough to hold all above tools
Available Upon Request (check off during project creation):
- OSHA approved gloves
- OSHA approved hard hat
- OSHA approved safety glasses
- OSHA approved vest
- Steel or Composite Toe Boots
BASIC TOOLS
The Basic Tools list is mandatory for the Level 3 (Intermediate) workers:
- Box knife with extra blades
- Commercial Grade Drill - 12 volt or higher (Ryobi, Makita, Rigid, Milwaukee, Hitachi, Bosch, DeWalt, Hilti)
- Commercial Grade Level 12"
- Drill Batteries and Charger (2)
- Drill Bit Set, up to 1/2inch
- Philips #2, 6 inch (at least 2)
- Pry Bar
- Spade bit, ½ inch
- Tape measure, 25’ or more
- Tool box/bag big enough to hold all above tools
Additional requirements:
- Level 4 (Entry) workers are not required to bring any tools
- All workers have a standard dress code for every work site that includes work pants, plain T/polo shirt with no logos, and work boots
- Drug tests, Background Checks, or Badging requirements can be noted when creating a project; projects with these requirements should be posted at least 1 week before the start date and will likely require speaking with Steady Install staff to arrange proper accomodations
